About SprintBot
SprintBot is a private Discord learning coach and staff operations tool provided for authorised participation in the IT@JCU Design Sprint community. It supports learning questions, sprint-state information and authorised staff administration. It is not a general-purpose public Discord bot.
Eligibility and authorised use
You may use SprintBot only when you have legitimate access to the Discord community or staff functions in which it is deployed. Access may be limited by Discord server membership, channel, team, learning role, sprint phase or staff permissions.
Do not attempt to bypass permissions, impersonate another user, interfere with the service, extract protected information, obtain another participant's private or restricted data, or use SprintBot for activities unrelated to the authorised Design Sprint environment.
Learning and assessment boundaries
SprintBot is intended to support learning rather than replace the student's own work. Its responses may be constrained by teaching, assessment-integrity and support policies. Users remain responsible for understanding and following the assessment requirements, academic-integrity rules and staff instructions that apply to their work.
SprintBot responses are generated or retrieved computationally and may be incomplete or incorrect. Where an answer affects assessment requirements, deadlines, special circumstances, safety or another consequential decision, the authoritative subject materials or teaching staff take precedence.
Discord behaviour
SprintBot may respond in approved Discord channels or threads. Users should not submit private, confidential, sensitive or unnecessary personal information to SprintBot. Content posted in Discord is also subject to the rules, permissions and data practices of the relevant Discord server and Discord itself.
Staff and moderation functions
Administrative and moderation functions are restricted to authorised staff. Actions such as role changes, warnings, timeouts or removals must be used only for legitimate Design Sprint operations and in accordance with applicable institutional processes.
Availability and changes
SprintBot is an independently operated teaching and experimentation service. Availability is not guaranteed. The service may be paused, limited, updated or withdrawn for maintenance, safety, security, teaching requirements, infrastructure limits or completion of the Design Sprint.
Features, models, knowledge sources and policies may change during development or operation. Material changes affecting these terms or SprintBot's data practices should be reflected in the published terms or privacy policy.
Privacy
SprintBot's handling of Discord messages, operational records, diagnostics, sprint membership data and moderation records is described in the SprintBot Privacy Policy.
Suspension or removal
Access to SprintBot may be restricted or removed where necessary to protect users, the Discord community, the teaching activity, service security or the integrity of authorised operations.
Relationship to other rules
These terms do not replace Discord's terms, institutional policies, subject requirements, assessment rules or directions from authorised teaching staff. Where those requirements impose stricter conditions, users must follow them.
Contact
Questions about SprintBot or these terms should be directed to the SprintBot operator or teaching staff through the communication channels provided for the Design Sprint.
